Uprise Africa appoints new CEO for its Equity Crowdfunding Platform.

Uprise Africa is proud to announce the appointment of Ms Matshepo Mokoena-Skosana. She will take on the new position as Chief Executive Officer and will succeed Ms Tabassum Qadir who plans to step down at end March 2021 to pursue her career in Aviation Industry . Matshepo Mokoena-Skosana is the founder and chairperson of Global Diaspora Investment Group, which has also acquired an equity stake in Uprise Africa. She holds a B.Com Degree in Risk Finance and Insurance Management.  Her financial competencies are centred around risk management, venture capital finance, corporate governance and financial modelling.

Ms Mokoena-Skhosana has an unyielding and voracious interest in financial inclusion as it pertains to the  complete and innovative democratization and liberation of the existing towers of access to big capital for financially excluded entrepreneurs. She has a palpable ability to understand and deconstruct the arcana and esoterica of finance, and   actually relishes practically working in and with marginalized communities.
